My name is Danjuma Favour Dan. I work on a project captioned School Related Gender Based Violence (SRGBV); Implications on Health.
Over 80million women and girls in the world today are victims of School Related Gender Based Violence. Adolescents who have experienced SRGBV, lacks concentration which enhance low performance and disinterest in school activities. This contributes to physical, psychological and reproductive health consequences on the well being of victims.
The objective of this project is to create a School Related Gender Based Violence, SRGBV, Club in schools to protect adolescents from all forms of violence. This will be done by using the UNITED NATION’S GIRLS EDUCATION INITIATIVES, UNGEI, training manual which has participatory activities.
SRGBV could be addressed by collaborating with stakeholders, teachers and local authorities. And also with the support of parents, health and child protection agencies and the police to protect the students. I believe that together we will fight the tyrant.
